NEW BANKING OPPORTUNITIES AT THE RETAIL BANKING AFRICA CONFERANCE 2011
Leveraging opportunities in Africa’s consumer business was the main focus for the two day conference hosted at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg. There were lots that could compel any economist or banker to be present at this initiative.
Among the topic discussions were exploring a variety of opportunities for retail banking across Africa, analysing how Islamic Retail banking can change customer experience and be an influence for new business growth, optimising retail delivery channels via best use of technology and business systems, understanding how new product development and marketing strategies influence growth in the existing retail banking business. On attendance were Bank CEOs, Directors and Group heads from Nigeria, Rwanda, Botswana, Egypt, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mauritius, Czech Republic.
