It seems natural to ascertain the size or success of a company by the number of staff they have. I for one have also believed in this fallacy for a long time. Years of business, reading and self-development have thought me that this can be very far from the truth.
Would you rather have more people in your company (meaning higher payroll, more time in managing these people, maybe the need to hire middle managers etc.), or less (or even NO staff), or strong systems that get the job done reliably with minimum human input, less stress, and more time to spend with your family and enjoy the fruits of your labour?
