As every reader would know by now, I am an avid proponent on entrepreneurship on the continent as a way to promote long term development and solve the recurring high unemployment issues in African countries. I will, however, for a matter of impartiality, publish from time to time contrarian views that may not always go completely the same route.
The link I would like to share today is a video interview of Kenyan tech entrepreneur Ory Okolloh who basically said that entrepreneurship will not solve Africa’s basic problems such as bad governance or bad policies. In a nutshell, she said that while there is growth in Africa, Africans themselves are not growing.
